Walk to End Alzheimer's Returns to Rancho Mission Viejo

The South Orange County Walk to End Alzheimer's is returning to Rancho Mission Viejo later this month, with more than $100,000 already raised for dementia care, support programs and scientific research. The 2026 Walk to End Alzheimer's is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19 at Sendero Field Park, 29201 Ortega Highway.More than 400 participants have already registered to attend the event, which is part of a nationwide effort that supports the Alzheimer's Association. This year marks the fourth consecutive year that Rancho Mission Viejo has hosted the walk.
The Walk to End Alzheimer's is the world's largest fundraiser for Alzheimer's care, support and research, held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide. Participants are encouraged to fundraise for the Alzheimer's Association's 24/7 helpline, local care and support programs and research toward prevention and treatment.
"Our 2026 fundraising goal is $221,000 and we see year after a year an increase in new teams, actively raising funds and awareness in the final two weeks," Deborah Levy, executive director of the Alzheimer's Association, Orange County Chapter, said.
