The Capistrano Dispatch: Rancho Mission Viejo's Nature Reserve Welcomes Prospective Volunteers at ‘Trail Mixer’

By Kaila Mellos

The Nature Reserve in Rancho Mission Viejo is working on a program that will hopefully bring more volunteers into the field and grow their mission to educate on the surrounding environment. The Reserve is hosting a “Trail Mixer” on Tuesday, May 21, to further provide information to the community and inquiring residents.

“The volunteers make it happen. We run a lot of programs. We run in-school programs throughout the academic year, three times a week; we're doing a couple events every weekend, we are doing outreach events, working in the libraries. We're doing all this stuff and we have a really small staff,” said Leeta Latham, the Executive Director of The Nature Reserve.
