The Backyard

There’s a ton to discover at this imaginative 5.5-acre linear park dotted with an eclectic mix of features for kids and kids-at-heart.

Little ones can let loose on larger-than-life playground equipment straight out of a child’s imagination. Or zigzag their way across a kid-sized zip rail.

Adults can have their own fun at The Hangout, an epic outdoor gathering space complete with fire pits, BBQs and communal picnic tables nestled under a canopy of stunning chandelier trees.

South Paw Dog Park

Grab a frisbee and treat your four-legged friend to an awesome outdoor play session at the off-leash South Paw Dog Park. Built to be the perfect retreat for your best friend, the park even comes complete with dog watering and washing stations.

The Campout

Get ready to camp where you live, because part of life on a real working ranch means unique outdoor experiences live right in your own backyard. Discover an open-air retreat outfitted with firepits for roasting s’mores and reservable tents for a night under the stars. Spend the day with the kids at the nearby casting pond, before gathering your family together for a savory BBQ dinner.

The Pavilion

Make The Pavilion your new get-together spot for picnicking, playing, grilling and lively games of slow-pitch softball and soccer.

Adjacent to Esencia School, The Pavilion’s tot lot and outdoor gathering space make it a great place for some after-class fun on the way home. The spacious Pavilion Field hosts awesome events and programing each month. And with 11,000 square feet of adaptable space, the multipurpose gymnasium plays host to basketball, volleyball and all sorts of social events.

Neighborhood Parks

Find a variety of intimate parks nestled throughout the community. Each one offers bench seating, shade spaces, outdoor activity space and other surprises like BBQs and fire pits.

Esencia Sports Park

Keep your eyes peeled for the opening of Esencia Sports Park, anticipated to fully arrive in 2020. This large, multi-use park is chock full of rec facilities like softball and baseball diamonds, soccer fields, tennis courts, a huge pool, pickleball and multi-use fields.

Esencia Green

Each year, this expansive event lawn complete with covered pavilion and elevated stage hosts a variety of holiday and community celebrations. Kids can burn some energy on the play structure while parents set up a picnic lunch for an upcoming performance. And with more than enough seating, everyone is encouraged to join in the fun.

Sendero Field

If you need a little more room to play, Sendero Field offers an impressive 15-acre recreational area with a baseball diamond, four pickleball courts, the Adventure Play Park for the kids, picnic pavilion and plenty of open grassy spaces to catch all the action.
