The Ladera Land Conservancy encompasses 1,600 acres of hillsides and arroyos around the community of Ladera Ranch. It connects the southern end of O'Neill Regional Park with the Tijeras Canyon and Chiquita Ridge Open Space Areas. This private, non-profit conservancy includes more than 10 miles of hiking and mountain bike trails, plus 230 acres of open space in the Arroyo Trabuco Golf Course area.
