Beginning in 1963, The Ranch family leaders have responded to the pressures of urbanization and the needs of Orange County's growing families by converting ranch land into new communities. These communities provide neighborhoods, parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, childcare, places of worship, shopping plazas, medical facilities and employment centers that help make south Orange County one of California's most desirable places to live. A complementary benefit is provided in the preservation of ridgelines, arroyos and other topographical features that add to the character and quality of the environment.
As the region has grown in popularity, The Ranch family has continued its commitment to fund and construct essential services before they are needed. This has resulted in the careful phasing of new neighborhoods with the establishment of schools, roads, post offices, a library, fire stations and other facilities vital to the welfare and safety of residents.
